thanks for the reply. Yep, I've been reading alex jones stuff for a while. I read as much, from as many angles as I can. Left, right, up, down, etc...
Honestly, I'm on fence about him. His rhetoric, although thought provoking, to me seems just as divisive and just as panic inducing as rush limbaugh's - but on a different spectrum.
A lot of those abovetopsecret, beforeitsnews, conspiracy thinkers, alex jonsers and the bunch.. are starting to sound bizarrely like the 700 club brand of christians during the "y2k scare". If the sky is falling, then we're all in it together. Anything that makes you want to bunker down with lots of guns aren't good thoughts to entertain. Regardless where they come from.
Whenever I see the "buy silver now before it's too late", or the "miracle survival goo" banner ads, I just check out. Plain & simple, his ad revenue is coming from fear mongering.
A lot of the news he reports on is a good juxtapoz to the other fodder, but as tempting as it is, I'm not buying. From any of them.
I'm of the opinion these days that there is no magic solution.
No one we can elect that will 'solve' things. Not Ron Paul, Obama, Clinton, Bush, or Peter Pan.
They seem all equally as effective in my daily life.
This won't keep me out of the voters booth, btw.
I participate in the game like everyone else. What choice is there? The entire American political system seems broken. At times, it seems we'd do best to reboot & try again. Anytime someone asks you 'what side are you on?' it seems the appropriate answer should always be 'not yours, pal!'. Regardless the question.
Alex Jones stuff is rad to read - but read it with just as much skeptical thought as you would Fox, Al-Jazeera, CNN, or otherwise. One thing I learned in art class is that angles & slants, in relation to perspective, can be hard to judge. ;-)Cheersman - k

Re: Just So You Know.

Hello Kevin & Anita,

Picked up your album on Monday. Never heard of you guys before and it was the album cover that drew me in. I'm listening to it now but haven't listened to it enough to offer any kind of fair feedback, but I do like it. I agree with your comment here. I wish it were that simple. As long as we have warmonger scum like Henry Kissinger and Karl Rove walking this planet, it will be tough. Then you have the central banksters, multi-national corporations, the military industrial complex, etc. I don't want to get political but Ron Paul is the only one calling for a real end to all of these wars and the media won't even mention his name. Meanwhile, your average joe six-pack is too occupied with all of the distractions life has to offer. I'm afraid we're screwed unless there is a massive awakening. My awakening came in the form of Alex Jones. I'm so glad I discovered this guy. Hey, have fun touring and take care.
